If someone shits on me for wanting the sims 4 one more time I will fucking scream

Like I don’t care if there’s 89 things missing

I don’t care if there’s a few bugs

I DON’T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THE POOLS AND ABOUT THE BABIES OR THE CARS OR THE NO MEDICAL CAREER TRACK

I care about making my OCs and making them interact with each other

gfdi

Seriously! It’s a fun game that runs smoothly and is fun. I’ve really enjoyed it!

tempted to go around and unfallow everyone who has hate for the sims 4

Like seriously, we get it. You don’t have to continue complaining about it. There are a lot of people who are actually really excited for this game, and I’m one of them. I don’t want to hear you complain about a new game.

The sims 4 is finally here!
Okay so i could only play for 1 hour today here are a few quick things i noticed.
°The loading screens are kinda annoying but make things faster in the long run (I’ll get used to them it’s just like TS2)
°I only visited one community lot and it was full of people (it was the library!) no more depressingly desserted nightclubs. The lots are /alive/
°The routea things is not really better, i’ve seen sims walking through other sims, and still choosing the longest route.
°Everything is very smooth and I liked how if the couldn’t use something because it was being used the action stays on the queue instead of the sims complaining and cancelling the action
°Maybe playing with a 4 sims family for the first time wasn’t very clever of me. It was messy as hell
°At first i thought i wouldn’t spend that much time playing the game but then i saw the build mode and oh my god… I’ve got lots of thing to test and experiment so expect loads of lots here.
Anyways, i’ll share some pics and give better opinions tomorrow when i can get full hands in the game

I was using the sims 4 creator and I was making this super swanky alien that was like. very non-gender conforming and that was like. a huge part of their personality that I had already established and I went to put a suit on them for formal wear and apparently, you can’t dress a female character in pants. they’re all dresses, or a suit jacket and skirt. i’m pissy. seriously?

You totes can! Just uncheck the formal filter that appears at the top…

Sims 4

solongsekhu:

Guys, I’ve been playing the Sims 4 for about an hour and a half now, and now I feel like it’s imperative to write something GOOD about the game so HOPEFULLY the series can start hearing ANYTHING other than about how it abandoned toddlers and swimming pools. I swear ever since information started releasing about Sims 4, the social focus has constantly been on what the game isn’t.

Here’s the thing.

I played the game. Immediately, I felt pretty immersed in that brand-new Sims game experience. Maxis has a great way of doing that with their series. The menus are simple and clean and they do a better job with the design so it takes less away from your Sim’s lives. That is actually one of the main points I want to make in summary. Yes, they simplified things, but it works REALLY well and creates a great, almost unexplainable FRESH feeling.

My computer is an average speed computer. It’s an economy desktop that I purchased for web browsing and media creation and is not by any means a “gaming” computer. The Sims 4 runs quickly, however. And this is DAY ONE of release so normally with EA, you KNOW you come to expect a lot of problems. It starts up fast, the loading screens are fast and it even saves faster. I’m talking a matter of SECONDS. This contributes a ton to that fresh feeling because you’re not getting clogged up and grungy with long waits. You know what I did while I saved on The Sims 2 and 3? I went and made a sandwich.

There is no longer an open world structure when playing your Sim, so yes it DOES need to load new lots. Fortunately, those loading screens ranged anywhere from 5-15 seconds and the lots individually seemed to run a lot smoother with a lot less lagging that I’ve become accustomed to on TS3.

I think the phrase less is more REALLY applies here. I feel invested in the game with what IS offered and have yet to stop and think “damn, this feature is missing!” I don’t want to make a long post about every cool new feature that’s offered in the game. I just want to toss my two-cents out in the feed-back fountain now that it’s being thrown by someone who actually has played the game.
